At Bridgers & Paxton we have extensive experience in the design of cleanrooms for major semiconductor and pharmaceutical clients, hospitals and research facilities, and government national laboratories. Our experience dates back to 1973 when we designed Sandia National Laboratories' first production Class 100 cleanroom.

Bridgers & Paxton's engineers are skilled in the design of clean spaces for high-tech facilities. They are knowledgeable in the mechanical and electrical systems available to serve these spaces, but also have an understanding of the operations that occur within the space as well.

Clean environments must not only result in the desired maximum particulate count, but also meet precise temperature, humidity, and lighting level constraints. These areas often require special power sources in the form of uninterrupted power supply and/or emergency power to assure the continuous operation of the area. Sophisticated process piping systems to deliver specialty gases and liquids as well as to provide safe removal of waste products are often required. Comprehensive construction drawings and specifications must be prepared and ongoing construction administration assistance provided to assure that special clean space construction practices are adhered to by the contractor.

Bridgers & Paxton has experience designing cleanroom systems for the following facilities:

  • Arizona State University - Tempe, Arizona
  • Digital Optics Corporation - Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Emcore Corporation - Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Ethicon Endo-Surgery - Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Ethicon Inc. - San Angelo, Texas
  • Los Alamos National Laboratory - Los Alamos, New Mexico
  • Major Semiconductor Manufacturing Facility - Rio Rancho, New Mexico
  • MicroOptical Devices, Inc. - Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Motorola Ceramics Plant - Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Philips Semiconductors - Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Sandia National Laboratories - Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Sumitomo Sitix Silicon, Inc. - Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • University of New Mexico - Albuquerque, New Mexico
