Bridgers & Paxton has a full-time in-house Controls Design Group.
This Group includes specialized individuals with backgrounds in
the controls industry, who take great pride in their ability to
evaluate the control requirements for a project and provide practical
solutions that offer the client the best value solution.
Bridgers &
Paxton takes the time to sit down with our clients in an effort
to gain a full understanding of their energy management and control
needs and wants. We communicate our experiences to the clients,
discuss new systems or complete field assessments of the existing
systems, and work towards defining a clear set of criteria that
establish the best value solution for that client. After this set
of criteria is established, we often work with the client to establish
a prioritized listing of the criteria and a scale (metrics) against
which competing objectives can be resolved. These metrics can then
be applied to all aspects of the project including scope of design,
definition of system features, manufacturer/contractor selection,
training, and operations.
The Group not
only provides detailed system designs for state-of-the-art Energy
Management and Control Systems (EMCS), but also provides coordination
interface between the mechanical and electrical design teams. Bridgers
& Paxton views EMCS design as an integral component of the total
design package. These advanced systems provide a host of benefits
to building operators.
The Controls
Design Group is actively involved with frequent design reviews and
discussions between design team members. This Group will provide
the design team with detailed and reliable control designs to achieve
the desired operating sequences in the most energy efficient manner.
The Controls Design Group also works with the estimating department
to determine accurate prices for the designed control systems.
During construction,
the Controls Design Group is responsible to review the control submittals,
answer contractor's requests for information, and provide on-site
observations. The Controls Design Group is also available to provide
in depth field checkout or system commissioning of the EMCS installation.
