include principal electrical engineering, project development, staff
management, and client relations. Together with Bill Herbst, he directs
B&P's electrical engineering operations. In this role, they are
in charge of training staff, developing department standards, and day-to-day
department management.
He is B&P's
Principal Electrical Engineer for specialized building environments
including healthcare/medical, laboratory, manufacturing, educational,
museum, hotel, and library facilities. His upfront role of determining
owner/client needs, establishing system criteria, and developing engineering
solutions has been critical to many successful projects.

applications employing UPS, parallel generator systems, standby power,
lighting, dimming, fire alarm and life-safety systems, and energy-conserving
electrical systems. He is well-versed in the utilization of energy-saving
lighting and other control systems and energy-conserving electrical
equipment. He is responsible for preparation of electrical engineering
documents including calculations, reports, studies, estimates, construction

power quality analysis, complete facility energy analysis, electrical
distribution, electrical surveys, and energy conservation analysis.
He currently provides
design services for the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State
University, Albuquerque Public Schools, Bureau of Indian Affairs,
University of New Mexico Heath Sciences Center, and Indian Health
Service.
Mr. Heck is also
certified in the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED)
program and he helps the Bridgers & Paxton team understand and
implement "green" design practices that reduce or eliminate
negative environmental impact of building construction. This accreditation
is by the US Green Building Council.
