Mr. Heck joined Bridgers & Paxton in 1998 and became a member of the Board of Directors in 2001.
Experience Summary:
Mr. Heck directs the firm's private sector electrical engineering group. His activities include principal electrical engineering, project development, staff management, and client relations. Together with Bill Herbst, he directs B&P's electrical engineering operations. In this role, they are in charge of training staff, developing department standards, and day-to-day department management.

He is B&P's Principal Electrical Engineer for specialized building environments including healthcare/medical, laboratory, manufacturing, educational, museum, hotel, and library facilities. His upfront role of determining owner/client needs, establishing system criteria, and developing engineering solutions has been critical to many successful projects.

Mr. Heck's specialties include medium and 600 voltage power distribution, critical power applications employing UPS, parallel generator systems, standby power, lighting, dimming, fire alarm and life-safety systems, and energy-conserving electrical systems. He is well-versed in the utilization of energy-saving lighting and other control systems and energy-conserving electrical equipment. He is responsible for preparation of electrical engineering documents including calculations, reports, studies, estimates, construction specifications and drawings. He routinely performs studies including power quality analysis, complete facility energy analysis, electrical distribution, electrical surveys, and energy conservation analysis.

He currently provides design services for the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University, Albuquerque Public Schools, Bureau of Indian Affairs, University of New Mexico Heath Sciences Center, and Indian Health Service.

Mr. Heck is also certified in the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) program and he helps the Bridgers & Paxton team understand and implement "green" design practices that reduce or eliminate negative environmental impact of building construction. This accreditation is by the US Green Building Council.
