Having undergone several renovations and name changes since its inception in 1920, the Phoenix Theater reached new heights in 2013 when the theater not only underwent a renovation, but also opened the doors to a state-of-the-art, 250-seat Black Box Theater.

The redesigned main stage consists of a fully realized modern stage house, wing space, fly loft, under-stage traps and auditorium with an audience seating capacity of 496; acoustical and electrical modifications were also made to the main stage.Designed for edgier fare geared towards younger audiences, the Black Box Theater breaths news life into a community staple. In addition to the Black Box Theater, the addition also includes a glass atrium lobby and additional rehearsal and entertainment spaces. With its connection to the community, Phoenix Theatre articulates the community’s messages through the arts, and illustrates how the arts changes how one experiences life.
